Belgian Waffle

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Tsp Instant Yeast/Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 & 1/2 Cup Milk Lukewarm
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 3/4 Stick Melted Unsalted Butter

Instructions

  • Add flour, baking powder, salt, sugar & instant yeast in a mixing bowl and whisk everything.
  • If you are using active dry yeast then add it to your lukewarm milk and let it bloom.
  • Start adding your lukewarm milk to dry ingredients and mix it with the help of a whisk making sure there are no lumps.
  • Whisk eggs in a separate bowl.
  • Add the melted unsalted butter and whisked eggs to the mixture.
  • Cover and let the batter stand at room temperature for about an hour and a half.
  • Heat your waffle iron. Once it's ready, start making your Belgian waffles.

Notes

Serving Suggestion:  There are endless ways to serve your waffles, serve them with sweet whipped cream or the scoop of your favorite ice-cream, with some fresh fruits and drizzling of powder sugar, or simply with your favorite maple syrup or your favorite jam.
